Description

CP2102 USB to TTL Serial UART Adapter Module

Add a convenient USB serial interface to microcontrollers, development boards and other TTL serial devices with this compact CP2102 USB to UART adapter. It allows a computer to communicate with embedded electronics through a standard virtual COM port, making it ideal for programming, debugging and serial monitoring.

Features:

Based on the popular Silicon Labs CP2102 USB-to-UART controller
Converts USB to TTL-level serial UART
Standard USB Type-A connection
Provides TXD and RXD serial connections
Includes power and ground connections for easy prototyping
Commonly provides both 5V and 3.3V supply outputs
Supports standard asynchronous serial communication
Appears as a virtual COM/serial port on the computer
Compact PCB design ideal for breadboard and development work
Suitable for programming and debugging many microcontroller projects
No external power supply required for the adapter itself

Common applications:

Arduino-compatible boards
ESP8266 and ESP-based projects
Microcontroller programming
Serial console access
Router and embedded Linux debugging
GPS modules
Bluetooth modules
Development boards
Electronics prototyping and diagnostics

Typical connections:

TXD – Transmit data
RXD – Receive data
GND – Ground
5V / VCC – USB supply where provided
3.3V – Regulated 3.3V supply where provided

The CP2102 is widely supported by Windows, Linux and macOS and is a useful addition to any electronics workbench for accessing devices that use TTL serial communication.

Interface: USB to TTL UART
Controller: CP2102
USB connector: USB Type-A
Serial signals: TXD / RXD

Note: This adapter provides TTL UART serial, not RS232 voltage levels. Confirm the operating voltage of the equipment being connected before use.
