Description:
Heart Rate Click features the Maxim MAX30100, an integrated pulse oximetry and heart-rate sensor. It uses two LEDs (red and infrared) and a photodetector to measure the absorbance of pulsing blood, with this LED combination optimized for fingertip readings. The low-noise analog front-end processes the signal and sends data to the MCU via the mikroBUS™ I²C interface.
A programmable interrupt (INT) pin is included, and the module operates on a 3.3 V power supply. Readings can be affected by excessive motion, temperature changes, or excessive finger pressure, which may restrict blood flow.
